Some proposed changes - Requested updates to Han Jin (buisinessman) - Section: Recognition

Please note the conflict of interest and paid contributor disclosure. I am a paid contractor at Hot Tomato Marketing. The subject of the article Han Jin is a client of Hot Tomato Marketing, and he has requested that his article's award information be updated.

I am also a first-time editor, so I hope I get this right! Feel free to give me suggestions on how to improve my requests.

Explanation of issue: Han Jin's award information has not been updated since 2017, so I am suggesting that one sentence be added to the beginning of the section Recognition to update the awards received by Han Jin for 2018.

Information to be added: In 2018, Jin was awarded the gold trophy in the Stevie Awards for Entrepreneur of the Year - Computer Software - Up to 500 Employees.

  Clarification requested  

1. By their very nature, awards can be subjective — in that they represent a very specific point of view — the point of view of the individual or organization which determines who wins the award, and why. To counter this, a good practice is to limit the listing of awards to only those which are independently notable in Wikipedia.
2. To include a list of awards here, please ensure that only awards which are independently notable in Wikipedia are listed in the request.
3. When ready to proceed with the list of independently notable awards, kindly change the {{request edit}} template's answer parameter to read from |ans=yes to |ans=no. Thank you!

Explanation of issue: Really appreciate someone's help. We need to update my client's funding amount. (See my disclosure above.) In the section of the article called Lucid VR the amount of venture capital raised by Lucid VR is no longer $2.8 million. Now the amount raised is $3.1 million (rounded to the nearest tenth of a decimal).

Information to be replaced: The company since has raised $2.8 million in venture capital

1. The information regarding the funding of Lucid VR is not germane to the article on Han Jin, and should be placed in an article on Lucid.
2. Multiple postings of the connected contributor template is not necessary, as the template has been placed at the top of the talk page.
3. Be sure to use level 2 headings when making new edit requests.

• Information to be added: Under Education and career, add Bayes Impact (Han Jin's first startup that he helped to found).

While at SanDisk he helped found a non-profit organization, Bayes Impact, which went through the [Y Combinator] fall 2014 batch. Jin then applied for an O-1 visa, after which he left SanDisk to start Lucid.

• TechCrunch is not a WP:RS.
• Please provide references from reliable, WP:SECONDARY sources.
