Lawyer?

[edit]

Deleted:

Hamilton is currently an attorney in Georgia.

The article doesn't give details on any law degree, nor does the NNDB article. He's also not listed on in the Georgia Bar's member directory http://www.gabar.org which he would be even if he were on inactive, suspended or emeritus status. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ellsworth (talkcontribs) 23:25, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genghis Tron?

[edit]

I feel certain this has been brought up before, but shouldn't there be a mention of the connection of this Hamilton Jordan to the Hamilton Jordan of Genghis Tron? The former is the latter's father.

"Somewhat belatedly"

[edit]

User:Faroukfarouk, you are spot on in your description of Jordan's assumption of the role as WHChS, that Carter had not seen the need for the first two years and that therefore, Jordan did come to the role somewhat belatedly. It was an important fact to add to the article. Yet it seems a bit non-encyclopedic in style, especially the term "somewhat belatedly", which is almost POV. Would you want to fix it up a bit, or would you be offended if someone else worked it over? Unschool (talk) 02:51, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good! Unschool (talk) 00:29, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that Jordan's mother's mother was Jewish. So according to Jewish law, so was he: http://www.timesofisrael.com/from-deep-south-crypto-jew-to-the-white-house/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CFA2:58A0:6025:AEA8:C3CD:D3F0 (talk) 18:55, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Death section

[edit]

The laudatory tone of the last two sentences of the Death section ("Hamilton meant the world..."), seems to violate Neutral POV. I am deleting them. Peter Chastain (talk) 16:29, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jordan's involvement in the ATP not mentioned

[edit]

Just a suggestion that could add to the quality and thoroughness of this article's content, Hamilton Jordan is also famous for his involvement in the formation of the Association of Tennis Professionals (or ATP). The manner in which professional tennis is organized, tournaments are held and prize money awarded is largely a result of Hamilton and the ATP's efforts.

Consider this article as a source (I'm sure there are several others out there):
