New Article
[edit]I'm currently in the process of creating this article for the Halloween Haunt attraction in Canada. As there are existing articles for similar events such as Knott's Halloween Haunt, and this is the largest of its kind in the country, I felt that it fit the notability requirements for an article.
The information regarding the attractions is derived from an official training manual released by the park; there is no online version of it however. I am pulling it from the files of former employees working at this attraction, news articles online, and official media releases by the park. PetitPrinceton (talk) 20:57, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Spelling Error?
[edit]In the description for the "Terror of London" maze, it says the "conical five" bloody victims, when in fact it should read "canonical five". Otherwise it makes no sense whether grammatically or in terms of Jack the Ripper. "Conical" means to be cone-shaped. "Canonical" refers to literary work. Those victims probably aren't shaped in the form of a cone. Can we get a confirmation from Halloween Haunt/Canada's Wonderland?
Update: This has been brought to the attention of Canada's Wonderland and the website has since been changed to reflect the correction.

[edit]The current attractions section appears too much like an advertisement, possibly copied from the Halloween Haunt website. If this isn't fixed, I'll remove it and make it more neutral.--Astros4477 (talk) 23:41, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Returning Mazes
[edit]The Mazes listing shows "Blood Shed" as operating from between 2014 to 2019 (current). This is factually incorrect. The Blood Shed was open as early as 2005 and continued into 2006 season. It possibly was closed (unknown year) and later re-opened in 2014. Blood Shed also was "demolished" (in story line) and those inside moved outdoors to The Farmstead in 2021 (Due to Covid19 pandemic indoor Mazes moved outdoors in storyline, quite possible will return in 2022[1])Kav2001c (talk) 16:12, 1 October 2021 (UTC)kav2001c
Consecutive date issues also happened with the "Terror of London" which closed (unknown year) and then re-opened in 2013, and in 2016 closed again.Kav2001c (talk) 01:34, 19 January 2020 (UTC)kav2001c
Skeleton Crew shows on Wiki retired in 2017 but then it returns in 2021. Also Kingdom of Carnage was a haunted maze which retired in 2013, many of the set pieces were used in The Plague scare zone, and then Kingdom of Carnage was re-introduced in 2021 as a new scare zone. Unless we start recording every year there are too many attractions that are rotated, many of them are not present each year but often skip years or are re-introduced / re-imagined as new attractions.Kav2001c (talk) 16:40, 4 October 2021 (UTC)kav2001c
Retired Mazes
[edit]This current year (2021) many Mazes and Shows did not return due to Covid19 Pandemic Restrictions. I added the new 2021 Events and Scare Zones but would suggest against moving any 2019 Mazes or Events to Retired section as they are probably returning for the 2022 season. Mazes vs Scare Zones
[edit]One of the odd things they started during Covid pandemic was referring to larger more elaborate outdoor scare zones as "mazes". Since list is being maintained I have left them as-is; an indoor haunted house = maze and an outdoor scare area = scare zones. The misuse of the terms interchangably on their website is actually confusing to many guests Kav2001c (talk) 18:09, 22 September 2023 (UTC)kav2001c
