Checking against the Good Article criteria:

(1) Well written: No major issues; the text is reasonably lively, straight and clear. I performed a fairly small copyedit to take care of some issues. Watch out for redundancies and passive voice.

(2) Factually accurate: References meet WP:RS; no statements particularly stuck out as contentious and unsourced.

(3) Broad in coverage: Has development, plot, gameplay, and reception sections. All requisite components for a GA video game are there.

(4/5): Neutral and Stable: Aside from the vandalism, article is free from edit warring and substantial rewrites.

(6) Images: Image:Half-Life Blue Shift box.jpg should be shrunk to 256px wide; for both Image:Half-Life Blue Shift screenshot.jpg and Image:High Definition Half-Life comparison.jpg you can fold the summary into the description portion of the template and move 'fair use rationale' section to the top and rename 'summary'. The HD comparison image is iffy on WP:NFCC grounds; how does the image significantly add to our understanding of the topic?

I've reduced the size of the box art. As for the structure of the text on image pages, that's just the way I do it with all image files, I like to provide the reader with a quick overview of what is actually in the image, information that doesn't fit well into the rationale. It shouldn't matter, the key thing is that there is a rationale. As for the HD image, I'd describe it as the most important image in the article, more important than both box art and in-game screen. The HD pack stuff was the hyped bit of the product, and the bit that quite a few reviewers took time out to praise. Some sort of visual demonstration of the improvements from the low-poly low resolution original models to these later models is absolutely vital to understanding quite what the HD pack does. -- Sabre (talk) 23:57, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, just put that all in the rationale, then. Since my concerns have been addressed, passing. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 01:10, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
