The history section is taken verbatim from the latest Britannica. --Ghirla-трёп- 16:33, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

New photo
I would like to replace the night time bridge photo with a daytime skyline and move the former to another location. Any objections? --Anna Frodesiak (talk) 15:18, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Bicycle rental service table
Is this space-saving table better or just confusing? Is this too much info?

- Looks good, but this seems to be the sort of material that should appear on WikiTravel, and not here. --HXL's Roundtable, and Record 03:04, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- True. Maybe we should zap the service station and rate part, but keep the blurb. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:36, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry Anna , I was about to post a comment along the lines of HXL's Roundtable but was beaten too it :). This really isn't encyclopedic and belongs on Wikitravel. Best Philg88 (talk) 06:22, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- No need to be sorry. I agree. I have removed all but a sentence or two about the system. If you want to zap that too, no problem. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:37, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, I do support the inclusion of the small bit about the system. It seems to be an improvement to the article. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:39, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Sections
I rather like the London and New York section layouts. They both put climate into geography section. However, they differ when it comes to parks. Thoughts? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:16, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, but the New York article has an entirely separate Cityscape section. I am not so comfortable if Parks itself is a Level 2 header. Though Parks could fit under a Tourism and Sights section and belong to Environment; Environment, of course, should come right after geography/climate either as a Level 2 or 3. --HXL's Roundtable, and Record 15:00, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- True. NYC does deserve a cityscape section. Haikou is too small for that. Your parks and other suggestions are good. I would suggest that we nix the international relations section and bump up the sister city section. If you would like to suggest a layout here: User:Anna_Frodesiak/Silver_sandbox, I would be delighted to help design it. All are welcome of course. The London and NYC models are inspiring me to create new sections in this article. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:36, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Could someone please check the colours on the map of districts? I may be getting the red and blue mixed up due to the pop. density figures: Longhua District = 2,156
Thanks Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:49, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
Urban area
How can Haikou have an area of 2,237 km while Singapore has 718.3 km? Looking at a map, Haikou's built-up urban area is way smaller. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:15, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
City Emblem of Haikou
Please see the seal of Haikou.svg Commons debate. Many thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:06, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
As a resident of Haikou, I never seen this seal before. And CPC forbidden the making of city flags or seals, so it should be made up.--113.16.247.169 (talk) 15:39, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
