Pics

[edit]

Does anyone have any pictures of Hagerstown to put on the article page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vpuliva (talkcontribs) 05:18, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image removed; media added

[edit]

Sorry to the person who put the link to an image of Potomac Towers. I removed it. I rearranged some stuff and added some new sections too. I added a bit about Herald-Mail and radio stations including WAYZ. Hope it looks okay.

Origin of name of Indiana town

[edit]

Hey folks, I am from your smaller namesake Hagerstown, Indiana and I am trying to verify for certain if our town is named after the much larger and important Hagerstown, Maryland. It would make sense, but I have found no verification of this. Thanks, Chris4682

Little Heiskell bullet?

[edit]

_____ I don't see a bullet hole in "Little Heiskell"... -MaxJ

Bad pic

[edit]

Bad picture, but the clearest I could find. The original and the reproduction both display the bullet hole, but the silhouette on the Hagerstown website does not seem to include it.--Rosicrucian 01:18, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WAYZ Revert

[edit]

I've removed this. WAYZ isn't even the only Verstandig station, let alone the only Hagerstown radio station. --Rosicrucian 00:26, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't there be some mention of, if not an article about, the H-M? --Orange Mike 14:26, 6 April 2007 (UTC) Bold text[reply]

Keep or leave 'Metropolitan area' section?

[edit]

I was wondering if possibly we should remove the Metropolitan area section. There is some information about it in the intro and fairly recently (after the section was created), I made a separate and full info. article for the metro area. Does anyone have any suggestions/comments regarding this? Vpuliva (talk) 23:38, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am now thinking maybe we could substitute the section with a See also section referring to the article page for Hagerstown Metro. What do you think? Vpuliva (talk) 23:42, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image Image:Washington county flag.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.

Hattie Carroll and William Zantzinger

[edit]

There was a message box saying that the Carroll/Zantzinger section had too few references. I added Los Angeles Times, Welcome to Baltimore, Washington Post and Baltimore Sun. That *should* take care of any issues. Jrosenberry1 (talk) 02:12, 30 August 2013 (UTC)jrosenberry1[reply]

Bear in mind that this is a topic about Hagerstown, and that large digressions should be in specific topics, such as is already done in The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll. The material added so far is redundant and the reader would be better served by finding the point in this topic where it is relevant (this has not been done), and extending that point. Alternatively, a see-also is useful TEDickey (talk) 08:09, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Maybe we can add the education section. Containing what school district it falls under, some notable schools maybe some interesting areas regarding education? AviaWilliamEdits (talk) 15:24, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
