Why is this in the Anarchism section? Sure some hacklabs are anarchist but there are probably more that aren't. I don't see the need to put an idealogical brand on them.

Good point, removed. W1tchkr4ft 00 (talk) 03:21, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

hacklab == hackerspace

[edit]

I've never heard or read anything implying that there is an ideological difference between the terms hackerspace and hacklab. The hackerspace I attend has been referred to both as Abbenay hackspace and Abbenay hacklab, based on personal preferrence. While we certainly fit the bill for the sort of space described here, I have never seen these described as anything else than synonyms. Merge. - Anarkitekt (talk) 03:30, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I concur; merge. - cayden (talk) 18:27, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd support a merge. I haven't been able to find any sources that draw a distinction between hacklabs and hackerspaces. I've moved some content over to hackerspace and will redirect this page there. Gobonobo T C 13:26, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
