Victims

[edit]

Someone with more knowledge of their fate than I might like to add a section to this article about the history of the survivors of this tragic accident and their struggle for recognition and compensation. Nick Thorne talk 08:23, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Third section of this article says 82 were killed. Discussion of the accident says "14 officers and 67 sailors," which is only 81. Which figure is correct? 208.47.164.226 (talk) 18:02, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plus one civilian dockworker mentioned in the sentance after the one you quoted. -- saberwyn 21:42, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

[edit]

"On 12 March 1956, several gallantry awards were conferred..." I guess that should be 1966? Or '76? Anyone know for sure? Rumiton (talk) 13:40, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The London Gazette listed the date as 19 March 1965...our error is probably a case of too-fast fingers. Now fixed. -- saberwyn 23:34, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Info box white ensign

[edit]

This ship never operated under the Australian White Ensign, it only ever flew the Imperial/ Royal Navy white ensign during its service in the RAN. Should the box be changed? Ozdaren (talk) 08:33, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
