Team History
[edit]I'm hoping someone who can speak Korean might be able to search some Korean news sites to find old articles about Halla before 2003-2004. Most of the history pages only speak lightly about it, but it would be nice to have more information about the team when they were mando winia, etc.--Crossmr (talk) 01:21, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Players
[edit]I'm going to work on blue linking all the team players. I've got photos of most and Halla has started putting historical records of the players on their website.--Crossmr (talk) 02:47, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Lee Kwon-jae #16
[edit]Just got some conflicting info on this player. The AL site lists him as a forward. The media and fanbook I got as part of my membership package on Saturday also lists him as a forward. The new roster on the anyang site lists him as defense. I'll see if I can sort it out and if its just a mistake on the halla site.--Crossmr (talk) 16:00, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- I just noticed the same issue with Kim Kyung-tae #93. I believe this player was just away at military service for 2 years. The membership book lists him as playing from 2003 up to a couple years ago.--Crossmr (talk) 03:54, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
Anyanghalla.com archives
[edit]I've just gotten e-mail confirmation from the team's translator that the news archives in either Korean or English from before August 2008 are unavailable on the site. It seems that there isn't any immediate plan to make them available either. So any further flushing out of the article will have to be done solely on news articles from the media. The AL Hockey site goes back to 2004-2005 with statistics, but I don't think we'll be able to get any stats or rosters or info like that from before their joining the the Asia League.--Crossmr (talk) 00:14, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Dead links
[edit]Both Anyang Halla and Asia League revamped their sites this year. Halla broke a number of links, and Asia League simply removed a lot of old content. I've e-mailed Asia League and asked them to restore their news archives. However, they have a history of ignoring e-mails, so I'm not sure if we'll see them restored. I think most of Halla's content is still there, just with new locations.--Crossmr (talk) 02:06, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- I've cleaned up as many as I can. We still have 9 dead links. One of them was a special event announcement Halla made so I don't expect it to be returned with the new site since the event is long over. However, fingers are still crossed that the League will restore their news archives.--Crossmr (talk) 08:27, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- I managed to find one of the missing PDF files from the Internet Archive. Many other sources are still missing. --Stefan2 (talk) 00:39, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

The "History" section, which makes up the vast majority of this article's prose, has not been updated since 2011. Since then, the team has won six championships. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 10:07, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
