Name (Hēni Pore)

[edit]

Just reading the DNZB, it seems that Hēni Pore would be the better location for the article; it’s the name she went by in later life, and although both names were picked up from husbands, at least that it is Māori-ised separates it from Foley somewhat.

To that point, it reads more likely to me that Pore was a Māori-isation [is there a word for that, like anglicisation?] of Foley, than vice versa. If anyone has a clearer read of that, please help me understand. — HTGS (talk) 01:25, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
