This page needs more attention than I can give it, esp. from those knowledgeable on the matter. The English of the article as I found it was, well, not very good, and I have had to delete many a sentence because no clear meaning could be discerned. I hope some Boggiani-officinado will pass by this page and pay it some attention. Drmies (talk) 20:04, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I have access to a very large and wonderful book on Boggiani, whose reproductions make it clear that Boggiani is notable (in a non-Wikipedia sense) and whose bibliography (verifiable via Webcat, etc.) make it clear that he's notable in a Wikipedia sense too; however, it says rather little about Boggiani that's usable for this purpose. Somebody who, unlike me, can read Spanish, Portuguese, Italian or Czech and has access to the other materials would be particularly welcome. This was a major reason why I previously added all those templates above. -- Hoary (talk) 01:50, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I don't doubt that he's notable enough, and I think he easily passes all WP thresholds, even if the article is largely unsourced as yet. I can't read any of those languages you mention, unfortunately, but I'll keep browsing around. Now, the risk with my drastic style of editing (I basically cut everything that made no sense) is that some important information might have gotten lost, though I think I kept everything that matters. Let's keep at it! Thanks for the cooperation, and, BTW, thanks for checking my spelling! Drmies (talk) 03:16, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's excellent work you're doing on the article. I'm sorry, I may not be able to help you with it (or anyway not any time soon), but I do appreciate it. -- Hoary (talk) 06:01, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm starting to like the guy, you know. And I think for now I'm done, or that I have done all I can do at this moment (outside of the library), but I'll keep him in mind. Take care, Drmies (talk) 15:22, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
