Capitalization
Currently the capitalization of Gross Domestic Product in the intro sentence does not match the article title. Does anyone know which one is correct? -SCEhardT 21:39, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
GDP (PPP) is arguably more useful
... GDP per capita at purchasing power parity (PPP) is arguably more useful
I'm going to remove this part because the source provided doesn't argue whether it's really useful or not.--AXONOV (talk) ⚑ 07:49, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
What is GDP
This article doesn’t start by telling the reader WHAT GDP is and means. I don’t know who removed an opening blurb/paragraph without replacing it. Steve0377 (talk) 06:52, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

This entire article feels like a propaganda for WEF/globalist/left-wing policies. It discredits GDP almost entirely.
Extensive cirticism section that's the largest section in the whole article, flaky citations, with no real data, arguing about subjective things like global impact and happiness, etc.
This article reads like the condensed version of the Great Reset by Klaus Schwab.
It needs expert Economist inputs and clean it up. 136.25.148.245 (talk) 23:36, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, it seems you have strong opinions about how this should be rewritten, and have left several comments on this page over the last few days. If you would like to contribute, consider doing it yourself! WP:Anyone can edit and we encourage folks to participate. However, generally speaking, we try to create a balance of the different elements represented within the article itself, and a full third of the article talks about criticism and limitations, so we have to represent that in the lead. - I've only left 2 comments. I am not an expert, may be we should wait for an expert in the field, preferably someone who is an Economist or someone with factual knowledge.
- Strong opinions = good. I haven't changed anything on the article, just expressing that this GDP entry in Wikipedia is spreading false information: Look at the all citations from the criticism and replacement of GDP theories. They go to other news sources where it is something that WEF member said in an interview, that's not a high quality source. 136.25.148.245 (talk) 23:03, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- The criticisms section's sources are not intended to provide data in support of the given criticism. The criticism section notes the various criticisms that have been made, regardless of quality, and thus the citations are purely there to show that the criticism was indeed made at some point. 49.186.100.222 (talk) 13:21, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
