Taco or Quesadilla?

[edit]

Why does the article say they are a variety of taco instead of a variety of quesadilla? In my experience, they are more similar in both ingredients and preparation to quesadillas than to tacos. Secondly, they end in the feminine -a, as in "Quesadilla Gringa" and not in the masculine -o as in "Tacos Gringos". I know personal anecdotes are hardly valid sources, but growing up in Mexico, my family always called them quesadillas, not tacos. Zebobbybird (talk) 09:32, 18 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
