Need to add information about son

Another element of his death that was notable was the response of his son, who testified in the sentencing phase of Mallard's trial but nonetheless went on national TV to say he forgave the woman. (His resolute response to the jerk interviewer who tried to provoke him on the weekend episode of the Today show that I saw was astounding.)
