is it really?

[edit]

Is this really the second tallest water falls in the East Coast? I dont think so. Look at the list http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_waterfalls#United_States.

I don't think it is second in height, but in volume of water. Whenever there is substantial rain in the area of the Passiac River and its major tributaries, the Great Falls become, in a word, great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.36.20.214 (talk) 23:39, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like the AP decided to plagiarize this article's section on Alexander Hamilton. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090326/ap_on_re_us/great_falls_state_park —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.169.21.205 (talk) 05:25, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not a Nat'l Historical Park (yet)

[edit]

Public Law 111-11 only authorized the Sec. of the Interior to establish the park under certain conditions. I did a search of the Federal Register and found no notice of its actual establishment as an NPS unit. Found nothing on the NPS website either. — Eoghanacht talk 13:45, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Will be official on 2011 Nov 07.[1]Eoghanacht talk 13:43, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The above articles, whilst focusing on a different aspect of the Falls do cover alot of the same material and do refer to each other. Is it actually necessary? It certainly is confusing and starts getting circuitous. Is there some way they can be consoldated? The distinction between the falls and the mountain are clear, though there may be some jurisdictional differences regarding the what is included in the various municpal, state and national designations. Great Falls of Paterson-Garrett Mountain is largely repetitive of this article (Great Falls (Passaic River)) and should be a redirect to this article. Rhvanwinkle (talk) 19:39, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
