Etymology

Bunker originally used the phrase "Grapho Analysis" (two words) to describe his system. It was only after the formation of the American Grapho Analysis Society that he hyphenated the term. The single word "Graphoanalysis" appeared well after the formation of AGAS. Considering that sequence, I have grave doubts that the etymology of the word as described in the article is valid for this specific system of handwriting analysis.

Hello! If you make a page about graphoanalysis, you should open it and not to limit it to the Bunker System. Always, it is more correct to say: Bunker System, Vels System, Víñals & Puente System. Or in general, Xandró System, Moretti System, Marchesan System, etc., that to use a generic word. You have a American (US) point of view, and I think that you have to give a world general vision. At various points in time, IGAS has claimed to have also registered their trademarks in other countries. One such example is when IGAS had a franchise in The United Kingdom. jonathon (talk) 00:12, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

This is impossible. The generic words cannot be registered as trademarks in Europe. (talk) 11:55, 6 July 2008

McSly, You have deleted:
Graphoanalysis: graphos (from the Greek γράφειν): writing / analysis (from the Greek ἀνάλυσις) [1].
The word Graphoanalysis is a generic, as for instance: Psychoanalysis, Metaanalysis, Bioanalysis, Geoanalysis. In the world, except in US, Graphoanalysis is a generic term [2], often used interchangeably with graphology or graphopsychology

The method was founded by Professor Augusto Vels [3]. and it consists in an evaluation of graphic traits classified into aspects and sub-aspects; once the scoring of dominants and subdominants has been made, a profile is obtained of the predominant Hippocratic temperament (Periot), the characterological combination (Heymans-Le Senne), attitude towards life and psychic function (Jung).

The Augusto Vels’s system was verified on the doctoral thesis: "Grafología pedagógica: principios-normas-aplicaciones" (translation: "Pedagogic graphology: principles- procedure-applications") presented by the Mother María Mercedes Almela Sanchis (1962) at the University of Barcelona

Viñals and Puente's system

McSly, You have deleted this text and I have written this text.I have not infringed the copyright because the text is mine
It incorporates a characterology derived from Eric Berne’s Transactional Analysis, contributing this method’s typological percentile which is arrived at after evaluating the graphic traits of a sample of handwriting[4].
The Viñals & Puente’s system was verified, as psychological autopsy, on the doctoral thesis “Dr. César Comas Llabería” presented by Francesca Portolés Brasó(2004) at the University of Barcelona (Spain/Europe).
The academic world has recognised the contributions made by this field and have made it one of the main elements in the university specialisation in the psychological analysis of handwriting (Graduate School, Autonomous University of Barcelona).

1.- You have deleted the program with subjects of an official course of a university that treats specifically about graphoanalysis. It is cultural information not commercial interest or advertising.
2.- You have deleted the information about a scientist deceased (psychologist). The page is a non-profit association. It is cultural information not commercial interest or advertising.
3.- But you not deleted the link of the International Graphoanalysis Society- one that yes it is commercial and advertising. They are a company, not an non-profit association. In fact they have an advertising complete page in wikipedia, and you have not deleted it.
McSly,Do you have some interest to benefit to some and to censor others?(talk)7 July 2008
Hello, so I just got on this page and apparently my name is mentioned a lot. First a precision, there is no need to try to itemize the reverts that I did on the text you inserted. When I saw that part of it was coming from an other website and thus was potentially a copyright violation, I just stayed on the side of caution and reverted everything. I didn't have any specific critic, I was just trying to avoid having copyrighted material. Now from what I can gather, you have 2 main issues, my removal of the copyrighted text and then specifically my removal of 2 links. Well, let's take them in order:
As I mentioned, the text you have inserted is coming from an external website. Wikipedia has a strict policy on copyrighted materials, they can't be used. Now, if you are saying that you own the copyright, then it's different and you can follow this procedure to avoid other removals in the future. Please understand that it's easy for anyone to just copy some text from a random website and paste it here. So to avoid any confusion, make sure to either release the copyrighted material or rewrite it because when in doubt about this kind of text, the default position of many editors including myself is just to remove everything.
Now on the content, I didn't really read the text you added in details so I cannot speak to much about it. I will just say that sentences such as "It incorporates a characterology derived from Eric Berne’s Transactional Analysis, contributing this method’s typological percentile which is arrived at after evaluating the graphic traits of a sample of handwriting" will have at least to be reworked because they may sound scientific but I don't understand what they mean.
Now about the links. Here is a reminder of the Wikipedia policy on external links and let's dig in:
  • The first link goes a page containing a lot of youtube videos (first WP policy violation), in Spanish (second WP policy violation) and with a bunch of books with direct links to buy them (third WP policy violation). Now, I don't speak Spanish but I watched the videos and it seems to be an award ceremony, thus not adding any information that couldn't be included in the article (fourth WP policy violation). This link is like a textbook case of what not to include on WP.
  • The second link is even simpler, it's the enrollment page of a private school, complete with the bus schedules, the admission fees and the fact that their diploma is not recognized by the state. If that is not spam, I don't know what is.
I saw that you have re-added the materials that I removed. I'm going to remove everything again. The main text temporarily until the copyright issue is resolved (to stay on the side of caution). The links on the other hand won't come back since they are violating many WP policies.--McSly (talk) 03:16, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Your name is mentioned a lot because you have deleted my work without an objective reason. It is a destructive action.(talk)

McSly: So if you are not a specialist in this topic because you deleted. You have deleted academic information, the university validation (doctoral theses)(talk) —Preceding comment was added at 07:03, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

McSly It is PUBLIC STATE UNIVERSITY.You have confused a private school with a public state university: Autonomous University of Barcelona

(talk) —Preceding comment was added at 06:37, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello. Well, I stand corrected, it is in fact a public university. That being said, this does not change my main point which is that the link is nothing more than a commercial brochure and as such has no place here.--McSly (talk) 03:55, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
McSly's edits were perfectly appropriate. This article is about Bunker's system of handwriting analysis, which is called Graphoanalysis. Vel's system is/was called "Grafoanalytica". jonathon (talk) 04:07, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Xan: This is false, but the most serious thing it is that you know. Grafología Analítica, is the term used by a young graphologist called Manuel Moreno.(talk)

J.: It is incorrect.(talk) The article is on the word graphoanalysis, in general. Your point of view is localist.(talk)

J. and McSly: For that you restrict the information? Is it a page only for US?

The the English speaking world, Graphoanalysis is the system taught by Bunker. Vel's system is usually translated into English as "Transactional Graphology" or "Vel's System", not Graphoanalysis. jonathon (talk) 17:20, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Xan say: Vel's system is usually translated into English as "Transactional Graphology This is false and you know it perfectly. Because you confuse?(talk)

J.: You have said that the Bunker's system first is called GRAPHO ANALYSIS, and after: GRAPHO-ANALYSIS (this one is the trademark). Please, you create the page: GRAPHO ANALYSIS or GRAPHO-ANALYSIS, but you don't use the generic word: graphoanalysis. And if you use the generic word, you allow to enlarge the information.(talk)

a) "Graphoanalysis" is the term that IGAS currently uses and has registered as a trademark both in the US, and other countries. "Grapho Analysis", "Grapho-analysis", and "Grapho-Analysis" were also trademarks of IGAS; b) The majority of references to Vel's system in English are simply as "Vel's System". The second most common translation is "Transactional Graphology"; c) "Xan" is _not_ my name; jonathon (talk) 21:32, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
