I am a HUGE fan of Hackett's but it seems pretty clear that Salnikov (1980 and 1988 Olympic Champion) would have dominated in the '84 Olympic Games as well; he was that strong. So i hope no one takes offense that i have included that reference to Salnikov at the end of the article. We all know that Hacky will truly be making history if he does win Gold again, especially because Erik Vendt is posting some really strong times in the 1500m and the Olympic winner is going to have to give all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.220.191.227 (talk) 00:44, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
