Granstaff vs Grandstaff
[edit]On May 23, 2016, the following was added to the last paragraph (after the discussion of changing the canyon name):
Though current spelling of his name excludes the letter D, documents signed by William Grandstaff, including deeds and bills of sale, are clearly spelled with a D. Hopefully, when the name of the canyon is changed, his name will be spelled properly as well.
This seems to be more than is needed in this article, aside from editorializing, so I moved it here. If a good reference can be found, it may work better as a parenthetical note, such as "The canyon was named after William Granstaff (also spelled Grandstaff),[cited] a mixed-race cowboy..." ——Rich jj (talk) 20:41, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
