Proposed move

[edit]

I would like to move this page ("Organization of the Third Reich") to "Government of Nazi Germany" or "Organization of Nazi Germany" for two reasons:

  • Uniformity in name with the much larger page Nazi Germany, which prefers Nazi Germany to "Third Reich"
  • The term "Third Reich" originates from Nazi propaganda as a means of legitimating the "Third Reich" as a true successor to the "First" and "Second" Reichs; I don't think this should be used when a more neutral alternative exists.

As for "Government" vs. "Organization", I lean towards "Government", given that almost all sections of this page are directly part of the government. I know there was a considerable fusion of private institutions into the government of Nazi Germany so both seem applicable. I welcome comment; I will move in a couple weeks if I receive no objections by then.-Ich (talk) 13:54, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Original German

[edit]

All organizations should have the original, untranslated German title in subheadings, italics or parentheses. This is standard in most works of referncee. After a number of Wiki searches, I have still not been able to track down the Propaganda Ministry's German title. Orthotox (talk) 21:34, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
