Doug Smith
[edit]I just removed the link leading to Doug Smith because it isn't this particular Doug Smith. The one that wrote the book never played in the NHL, he only played in minor leagues. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.22.124.59 (talk) 08:09, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Darren Langdon
[edit]Ross "The Boss" Rhea's character could have been loosely based on Darren Langdon who retired from the nhl and played senior mens league hockey in Deer Lake, Newfoundland (view Darren Langdon's Wiki page for confirmation.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.150.67.127 (talk) 05:55, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Heat
[edit]I've read reviews [1] [2] that compare the diner conversation to a scene from the film Heat. Presumably if two reviewers are making this suggestion it is more than just coincidence. Not sure how to include it in the article without a source such as the writers or directors talking about it though. -- 109.78.229.206 (talk) 20:04, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Reference to Bertuzzi/Moore incident?
[edit]I don't feel like creating an account and adding, and I notice anon edits usually get reverted immediately. But while the McSorley/Brashear slashing incident was the one that got Schrieber's character evicted permanently from the NHL, the incident between him and LaFlamme seems to pretty clearly reference the Steve Moore/Todd Bertuzzi incident. Most especially, Shrieber's tearful press-conference apology looked exactly like Bertuzzi's. Thought it deserved a mention in the article if a more regular editor to the Wikipedia agrees. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.92.26.63 (talk) 07:30, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
