Related to Stephen Goodyear?

Is Charles W. Goodyear really related to Stephen Goodyear, the first deputy governor of New Haven colony, as this implies in the intro? Or to Charles Goodyear, the inventor, or his son, William? I'd like to see the family tree expanded to Stephen Goodyear if he is related. I've been researching the Goodyears, and it would be interesting to see that link.
