Spencer Christian

[edit]

Shouldn't Spencer Christian be addressed at least a little more? At least a mention of his tenure there? HarleyAcres 19:37, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Skyrocket?

[edit]

I think the article is embellishing things a little. I mean, could we use another adjective other than "skyrocket" when it comes to ratings? Mike H 11:04, Oct 25, 2004 (UTC)

[edit]

The A.M. America link sends you right back to the GMA article. Was there supposed to be a separate article regaring A.M. America? --Bdj95 06:54, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Length speculation

[edit]

I have found no evidence that ABC plans to increase this show to three hours, all I have found is some vague speculation by viewers, but I work for an ABC affiliate and on the ABC intranet there is no talk of this increase... any thoughts?--Robert Beck 17:55, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Broadcasting

[edit]

Could the article include more info about broadcasting? What time is it being aired on the west and east coast? Do they record the show twice (one east coast and one west coast version)? or is it recorded only once? If it is recorded once, is it being shown at the same time as the west coast (e.g. If it records at 7:00 AM EST is it being shown at 4:00 AM PST?) or does the west coast see the same broadcast only 3 hours later (e.g. West coast sees it at 7:00 AM PST even though it was recorded at 4:00 AM PST). If the west coast is shown a recording from 3 hours ago, does anything special happen when there is breaking news (such as switching to a live feed or showing a different show that can handle live broadcasts to the west coast)? Thanks! Eags 15:29, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree, some people could really find that info useful. 71.162.160.74 12:18, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HDTV

[edit]

On January 20, 2005, ABC News covered the Presidential Inauguration in High Definition (GMA included). This predates the listed HD premiere by over ten months. MMetro 08:23, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Morning Show Banner

[edit]

Please note, I have removed the morning show banner from the article. It seems to be getting messed with a lot currently, with absolutely no discussion, and all the revisions have broken it so that it was floating in the middle of this article's text. I tried overriding it with code in this article to no avail. I've left a note on the template's talk page. Meanwhile, please don't add it back unless it has been fixed or you can force it to be positioned correctly, under the info box and not on top of any article text. Thanks AnmaFinotera 00:24, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article Assessment

[edit]

As requested here, I've assessed the article. I've rated this article at Start Class.due to the severe lacking in citations. It is also missing some important sections, including critical response and production details (beyond just a list of hosts and contributers.

I rated this article's importance as low as it is one of many morning shows available and offers nothing unique or extraordinary to the format. AnmaFinotera 00:24, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Gmalogo1995.jpg

[edit]

Image:Gmalogo1995.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Based on how much content is on the Good Morning America Weekend Edition article, I feel that article should be merged into this article since that article is not large enough for its own article. Also, the weekend Good Morning America is the same television show as the weekday Good Morning America. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 00:04, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ratings: 2011 Royal Wedding

[edit]

There should be a ratings section...In its regular 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. time period ABC’s “Good Morning America,” anchored live by Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters, covering the Royal Wedding from Buckingham Palace, attracted 8.65 million Total Viewers (Source: The Nielsen Company (Live + Same Day Fast Affiliate Ratings) – 4/29/11) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.26.21.217 (talk) 22:32, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism

[edit]

Please include the section where there is criticism, due to its gossip fare. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.134.67.149 (talk) 21:47, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely. This program and the others like it exemplify the decline and fall of the Fourth Estate in the US. By depriving the American people of easy access to real news, they create an intellectual vacuum --- an environment in which the political and corporate elites have complete freedom to pursue their criminally nefarious and violent agenda without any challenge or fear of criticism. The article has a section on “Accolades”. It needs a section on “Criticism” by the likes of Chris Hedges and Noam Chomsky. ---Dagme (talk) 01:55, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A criticism section should also mention the time where they lied directly to their audience about fortnite, they claimed the game was graphic despite showing footage that contradicts that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scoutstheman (talkcontribs) 14:24, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ginger Zee

[edit]

Okay so if you going to remove Al Roker from the Presenter section on The TODAY Page then why are you not removing Ginger Zee from the Presenter section on this page? Morningtv13 (talk) 03:26, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Is Al Roker removed from the Today article? No. In fact, I believe he is still there. Corkythehornetfan (Talk) 03:28, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
He wasn't before. I am just asking why it wasn't done here Morningtv13 (talk) 03:30, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you see, Roker was being removed, then re-added and stayed on the page. You removed Ginger Zee from the Good Morning America article, in which I reverted saying "Don't go removing Ginger from this article and adding Roker to the Today Show article. Make up your darn mind. If Roker stays, so does Ginger. If Roker goes, so does Ginger." At the time, Roker's name was (and still is) listed in the Infobox on the Today article. Corkythehornetfan (Talk) 03:36, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I did that because the other person kept removing Al from Today page and I wasn't sure why they didn't remove Ginger from the Presenter section on this page. I have ask them a couple times why they didn't do same here but I never got a answer.Morningtv13 (talk) 03:39, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I told you on several occasions why he was removed, and you continued to ignore it for your own personal liking, talking in a confused circle of the same talk-around response. livelikemusic my talk page! 03:44, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Livelikemusic does have a point, and you (Morningtv13) could have taken this situation a whole different step, you know? You should have discussed it before you kept reverting and all of the other crap that went on. Corkythehornetfan (Talk) 03:46, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you are saying and I keep asking why you didn't come here and remove Ginger Zee as well from the presenter section on this pqage and you continue to ignore the question. Morningtv13 (talk) 03:47, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Because I refuse to be bite the bait you're feeding this evening. It's petty and childish, and does not look well for anyone editing in this situation. livelikemusic my talk page! 03:50, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am not doing anything but if you going to remove one weather person from one show presenter section then do it on the other is all I am saying. Morningtv13 (talk) 03:52, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Producer: Rachel Miskowiec

[edit]

Rachel Miskowiec has been a producer.[1] I would put it in the article, but not sure where it goes, given the long complicated history of the program and its staff changes.

Name origin?

Did the show's title comes from the chorus of Steve Goodman's song "City of New Orleans"? If so, is there a reputable source? Sandcherry (talk) 18:46, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Appearance of a real show in a fictional work

[edit]

Namely, episode 2 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in which the new Captain America appears as a guest in Good Morning America. Is the case where GMA was covering content on the internet that kids watch, where they specifically talked about SuperMarioLogan (real name: Logan Thirtyacre) notable to be on this article? NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 18:50, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
