That's unfortunate, but I think the decision is reasonable since the high level of controversy involved in the subject. Note that nobody owns content that is published on Wikipedia, you waive your rights to the community to do whatever with it. If you have edit requests, please let it know here. Even if I have no right to the entry, it is profoundly unfair that I cannot modify it, since it is proven that I have no vandalistic intent and since it is not fair that someone can modify what I have written without me being able to modify in turn except for third party. --Giammarco Ferrari (talk) 18:25, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is a process where extended confirmed can be granted to a user as noted at EXTENDED. However, it also says that Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Extended confirmed"may also be used to request early grants of the group, but requests are almost never acceptedexcept for legitimate alternate accounts of users who are extended confirmed on other accounts." (Emphasis mine)
This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, that is, specify what text should be removed and a verbatim copy of the text that should replace it. "Please change X" is not acceptable and will be rejected; the request must be of the form "please change X to Y".
The edit may be made by any extended confirmed user. Remember to change the |answered=no parameter to "yes" when the request has been accepted, rejected or on hold awaiting user input. This is so that inactive or completed requests don't needlessly fill up the edit requests category. You may also wish to use the {{EEp}} template in the response. To request that a page be protected or unprotected, make a protection request.
