Thhank you for taking time and editing an article which I have begun, but didn't have the time for editing it properly.

This new "core issues" should be deleted. It's a collection of pure fantasy that has nothing to do with the GiG. Before I hack that section out however, I'd like to see some concurrence from others rather than potentially starting a revert war. Gletiecq 05:26, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
DoD Network Information Center
[edit]Hi there. I was wondering, when I see "DoD Network Information Center" on the WHOIS information for IP addresses, is this what it refers to? I want to properly link from the {{SharedIP}} template. Thanks! —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 14:15, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps he is referring to the UDDI or one of the several other "directories" (aka registries) that are in varying states of standing up 199.208.239.140 (talk) 18:57, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Reflection
[edit]- Nice history lesson and background
- Is there (or did I overlook it?) "current state" info available?
- If I ovelooked it, can we make it more apparent?

COMPLETE OVERHAUL
[edit]I overhauled this article to reflect actual DoD doctrine/policy, etc... see references. I plan to add more, including a couple more pictures and relevant "who's in charge" pieces... regards, Warren --Warren Fish (talk) 04:04, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- In case you haven't noticed, this is probably one of the worst violations of WP:NPOV that I've ever seen; the tone of this article is absurdly pro-military and bureaucratic. I'm going to rewrite much of it to be more neutral. I'll use the French Wikipedia front matter as my reference text, as it's pretty decent.

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Global Information Grid. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20110522043846/http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/810001p.pdf to http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/810001p.pdf
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
