Untitled

[edit]

I have made extensive revisions to this article as part of an effort of mine to upgrade, improve, re-format the articles for Oz characters. The old article was basically only about the character as she appears in the classic books. I have added information about the subsequent movie as well as the modern revisionist works. --MatthewUND 23:35, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What's this about a suggestion that this page be merged with Good Witch of the North? They're two separate characters. Noneofyourbusiness 12:44, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know but in the first line they adress her as the witch of the North. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.173.203.106 (talk) 22:55, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Helen Dallimore doesnt have her own page?

Can anyone add a picture of Wicked's Glinda in her more traditional gowns instead of her Shiz University uniform? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adcro (talkcontribs) 22:27, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Portrayals

[edit]

Do you think that this article needs that long of a list of portrayals from Wicked? I could see maybe one or two and a few cannon performances. But that long of a list with only Wicked makes no sense at all, and definitely not with all of those understudies Kneazle kid (talk) 14:59, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree exactly. AJD (talk) 15:07, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. It's very informative, and has proved useful loads of times.
I agree with the disagreement. I've used this list many, many times. Please keep it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.177.243.123 (talk) 23:24, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I second the keep the list. it's very helpful. Somuchbetter88 (talk) 03:08, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
YES! please keep it! I've used it many times and there are no other lists that include every understudy!
Who deleted it? I came her to find it and it was gone! I need to find out who was in the San Diego tour like five years ago!!! 76.215.145.190 (talk) 19:05, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese names

[edit]

I think their "Christian" names should come first, because the article is in English, and it could cause some confusion. Because the article is English, we should conform it to fit our culture. If it was written in Japanese, I would say put all the "first" names last. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.210.250.233 (talk) 06:49, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Relatives

[edit]

I'm sorry, which books was this information in? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.99.57.217 (talk) 19:15, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ashley Spencer

[edit]

I'm removing her name from the 1NT list until we can get some proof this is true.71.66.230.44 (talk) 11:50, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Future

[edit]

Can we stop adding people until they're confirmed? Half the "future Glinda" section is wrong.71.66.230.44 (talk) 11:11, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: No consensus to move and I don't think relisting would aid in further discussion. Defaults to staying at the current title. TonyBallioni (talk) 16:17, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Glinda the Good WitchGood Witch of the South – I am proposing that this page be moved to Good Witch of the South with Glinda as a disambiguation page. The reason for this is because in the most famous adaptation of the novel, the 1939 film, Glinda is the Good Witch of the North with can be confused with in the original novel, she is the good witch of the south. Request name change

[edit]

Obviously in the book she is referred to as the Witch of the South. Only after the 1939 movie did she to any degree become the Northern Witch. Shouldn’t this initial incarnation of her take precedence? Perhaps you could add why this was titled as “Good Witch of the North” (this is not just some crummy detail; this point is pivotal for the story). Change her name to “The Good Witch of the South”. [edit]

Do you really think we need the troubled film adaptation of Wicked included in this section? Alongside baseless casting rumors? Especially when the actresses and directors in question have debunked these rumors multiple times? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:681:5580:5130:F5EE:8069:B111:544F (talk) 21:12, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Glinda the Good WitchGlinda – The disambiguation the Good Witch is not necessary since Glinda already redirects to this page. Interstellarity (talk) 21:06, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
