Problems
[edit]This smells like a copyvio, possibly from the book mentioned as a source. A google test doesn't turn up anything, so the next step would be for someone to check the book mentioned, and report here what they find. In any case, the article needs toning down of the POV promotional style. However, it's good to have an article on the Congressman. JesseW 01:05, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
[This is the original poster]: I used the book to fill in the spots that I could not remember off hand and as a general outline, so I do not forget certain events. I only lived during the last 7-8 years of his life, after all. However, I do believe I susbstantially differated from the book in a manner that no 5 simultaneous words copy the text save by accident (which is my understanding as to what constitutes a copyright violation). Furthermore, his estate commissioned the book, something which I am a beneficiary of (muddling the legal waters, but in favor of non-violation). And finally, the major areas I copied verbatim would include names and dates, which would not be a copyright violation. Oh, and of course I was one of the sources for the book itself! If someone wants to change the format or language that is fine, but I'm not about to downplay one of our greatest American legends (at least, locally). There is a copy of the book in the Library of Congress, if anyone wants to check it out. Any questions or concerns I'll try and watch this page. Thanks. Love Wiki.
