I propose to merge Glacial period and Interglacial into Glacial cycle. The two articles are two sides of the same coin and any adequate discussion of one will heavily duplicate the discussion of the other. Glacial cycle is presently a redirect to Ice age, which is itself a problem, since the two are not synonymous. Kent G. Budge (talk) 15:01, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
@Hemiauchenia, GeoWriter, Mikenorton, Oranjelo100, Vsmith, and Rcameroncree: I'd especially appreciate your thoughts. Kent G. Budge (talk) 15:11, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
I think it's better they stay separate. Glacial period and Interglacial articles could be expanded in the future. Oranjelo100 (talk) 07:00, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
I agree with a merger. I think it's better to talk about them as a paired cycle. As you say they are two sides of the same coin and act as an overall periodic cycle. That redirect is definitely an issue and needs to be fixed. Jarred C Lloyd (talk) 11:04, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose, they better stay separated. 120.16.177.83 (talk) 10:44, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
