Really? electropop
[edit]No way in hell is this song electropop, or dance or rock in anyway...the only valid genres the should be put in the infobox should be dance considering its the only one with a reference, theres nothing about rock influences or electropop, the genre is totally biased on someone's personal opinion as with a whole bunch of other disney related articles! my personal opinion is that the song is R&B and pop, but since thers no refs for that, im not gonna change anything, cuz i know that whatever fanatical editor is dominating the article is just gonna do what he/she wants regardless of how thing should be done. 24.139.117.90 (talk) 17:40, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- I saw rhe link and where it states its genre. Why do you have such an issue if it is cited right there. Anyways, many other genres and styles have been included in the infoboxes with proper citations indicating them.--173.3.245.196 (talk) 01:42, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
- Well i read the link and i didnt see electropop to describe give your heart a break, i only saw it on hold up, but ill check again if it makes you feel any better, but if i dont find the reference anywhere im gonna change it again 24.139.117.90 (talk) 22:27, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
- First and foremost, one of the links doesnt work for me (the one thats suppose to go to the unbroken album review by popcrush, however, the other reference did state electropop BEATS, not the same thing as electropop, i understand what you meant but the proper way of putting the article is (genre= Pop, Dance, or Dance pop, since i believe that the combination of both these genres is dance pop [kind of obvious] to make things simple we could put the genre as dance pop, and in the composition section put "Give you heart a break is an uptempo pop and dance ballad that incorporates electropop beats and has influences of Rock music and music of the 90s and 80s. Its instrumentation includes drums and violins." How about it? or something along these lines, but that it basically stays the same as i put it? electropop beats arent the same as electropop music, theres a song by selena gomez and the scene (Round and Round) that incorporates rock and disco beat, however if you hear it, its clearly not rock music, but it does have a disco ish and rock ish vibe, understand? so im gona change it and if you do not agree, then revert the changes and state why you dont agree here in the discussion page, we might be able to come to a happy medium, but we musnt disregard or misunderstand what the reference states, please and thank you 24.139.117.90 (talk) 22:40, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Positive reviews not critical acclaim
[edit]The song received "positive reviews" not critical acclaim. 2-3 critics complimenting the songs doesn't make it critically acclaimed. A song which is critically acclaimed is usually well reviewed by big critics like "the Rolling Stones", Slant Magazine or Spin magazines etc. plus the amount of well reviewers is generally a lot, about 7+. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Penpaperpencil (talk • contribs) 13:44, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- I think so too, especially when the first review listed is not by a big critic. It would need more notable reviews from such big critics to be regarded as critically acclaimed.⊾maine12329⊿ talk 05:30, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
