Music master at the Conservatorio dell'Ospedaletto?

[edit]

I know that Giuseppe Sarti held a post as choir master at the Ospedale della Pietà (1766-1767) but I didn't know he was also at the Ospedaletto (in 1770). In 1768 the Pietà had appointed Bonaventura Furlanetto and the Ospedaletto Antonio Sacchini as maestri di coro. Was Sarti then really back in Venice (at the Ospedaletto?) by 1770, or is this more a confusion between both Ospedali? (It seems to me like that). Charles Burney also mentions Antonio Sacchini as the choir director of the Ospedaletto, and not Giuseppe Sarti. Until this is clarified, I have removed the sentence: In 1770 he again obtained a post in Venice as music master at the Conservatorio dell'Ospedaletto.

Baptism date proves…

not always the case. Chopin’s birthdate is after his supposed baptism date, e.g., due to clerical error. ELSchissel (talk) 20:57, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
