[edit]

There is an image of Giovannino Guareschi on the Italian language WP page. I tried to transfer it to this page, but was unsuccessful. Perhaps someone with better computer skills could do so. It would be a great addition to this WP article.98.111.224.50 (talk) 11:40, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Life and Works

[edit]

A BBC Radio 4 program "Blind Date with Don Camillo (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04009c2) states that Guareschi was imprisoned not once but three times "by three successive regimes", for being too free with his pen. It also states that in Italy, France and Germany the names of Don Camillo and Peppone are well known, due to the many movies about them being regularly shown on television there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.70.213.58 (talk) 12:59, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Giovannino?

[edit]

I don't know why the article is titled "Giovannino Guareschi". All books covers I found spell it "Giovanni Guareschi", without the 'no' in the end. Perhaps it should be considered as a pen name/real name thing? 82.141.95.68 (talk) 02:00, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
