HOLY CRAP

[edit]

Who wrote those ungodly long descriptions? A summarization is indeed needed. As for cites, I don't know of any informational Riki books, except for the manga itself. How do you cite a manga? --DameGreyWulf (talk) 05:27, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to hack down those descriptions :) See {{cite book}} for how to reference a book, which would include manga volumes. At minimum, you must be able to reference a specific volume for character information, while things like author notes should also include page numbers. In general, the plot needs no sourcing, but it would be good to have for specific claims about the characters. AnmaFinotera (talk) 06:37, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Weed World?

[edit]

Are there any official sites that say it was published in Weed World and that it was published there in 2000? It was released into tankoban format in 2003, and Yoshihiro Takahashi was working on Lassie and Ginga Densetsu Weed at that time. And I mean no fan-sites, either. The official site says 2003, and all of the only sites that say anything about Weed World are fansites (Gingasite and Baka-updates manga). I want to get ride of it if there is no actual proof.WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 21:16, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm. Good question. Do the fansites list the specific issues (like number, date)? Is there any offical website for Weed World? AnmaFinotera (talk) 22:18, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The sites mention it being published in the year 2000, but I'm not sure if they just mean that is was serialized in 2000. Still, it seems strange that it would take three years for it to be completely drawn and published, especially since many shounen artists have manga chapters (Bleach and Naruto are good example) released weekly. And since GDW started, 50 volumes have been published. It started in 1999, so that's 50 volumes in 7 or 8 years. 3 years to publish one? Even if he was busy, that'd be a lot of time. It just doesn't seem right. And for the Weed World magazine, I have no idea. I don't even know if it would use the Japanese word for world, either. From what I've found, it doesn't seem likely. I don't think that the Japanese language Wikipedia even has a GDR page, either. I'll still try to dig some stuff up, though.WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 00:46, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, doesn't look like it has one in the JA Wikipdeia. Do you know the kanji for Weed World? AnmaFinotera (talk) 00:57, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The katakana for Weed would be ウィード. The word for world, sekai, would be せかい, I believe. I can't help much if 'world' is English, though. I'm not sure what the katakana would be. But ウィードせかい is the best I have right now.WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 01:18, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have the WEED world magazines, so they do excist
Can you say if Ginga Densetsu Riki was serialized in it? At least we know it exists, though.WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 22:38, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
