Singer?
[edit]Article doesn't provide any sources to support its statement that she's a singer, and I couldn't find anything on AllMusic or Amazon... Valrith 20:59, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- A search for Amazon "Gillian Elisa" produces 1,170 hits; and she is listed at AllMusic [1] -- Picapica 08:58, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- If you just google "Gillian Elisa" you will find plenty of albums this lady has done, her own website would be a good start. —Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs) 18:09, December 27, 2006 81.145.240.102
- I was looking for a reliable source. Valrith 21:11, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- Is the BBC a reliable enough source for you?
- Gillian Elisa, who plays troubled Sabrina, first found fame as a pop singer in the 70s before joining the cast of "Pobol y Cwm". She will no doubt be belting out a few favourites on the night, a week before she makes her debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. [2] -- Picapica 08:47, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- That's better. Valrith 16:01, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]Gillian Elisa is a very well-known Welsh performer, having enjoyed a long and varied comedy career on TV and theatre before returning to her original TV role in a soap opera. She was among the original cast of Pobol y Cwm and returned to the show a few years ago in the same role of Sabrina Daniels (originally Harries). She also performs in English.
I was trying to think of an equivalent performer on British TV, and the only people I could come up with were Sue Johnston and Wendy Richard. She's done the same range of work as both, and I don't really care whether or not she's a singer. - Stevecov 13:13, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
