Further work on this article
[edit]I have found more references about him, and soon (probably during the first week of the New Year, as holiday season is almost upon us), I will add more information to the article.
I have also received (from David Underdown) a copy of the Times Obituary and his RN Service records, all of which have some useful information to add - either David or myself will add it when we get the time (again, probably during the first week of January, if it's me).
An interesting man, from what the sources say! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 15:13, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
- I have added the information from the Obit and the Service Record to the article, plus a bit of a tidy up. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 10:03, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

All things considered, I'd say this is a very impressive article, especially considering the subject has been dead for 83 years. I made a few minor fixes and added a category but I can't see any fundamental issues with the article. The only technical issue I have is that the lead needs to be expanded to be a concise summary of the body of the article. I also wonder if it might be worth adding succession boxes to the bottom, but the latter is just a suggestion.
I've got the article on my watchlist, but feel free to drop me a line if you want me. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 03:32, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- I will work on this next week, when I should have some time! -- PhantomSteve.alt/talk\[alternate account of Phantomsteve] 15:35, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
