This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... it has been heavily reviewed and cut down to make sure that all aspects are completely historical and factual. There are no references to any sales or promotional materials. All information is factual and sourcable --Roberto GFL (talk) 12:41, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

All but one fact is sourced to Lotti publications. The claim that this is entirely factual is belied by such phrases as "The most distinctive detail on every Gianfranco Lotti bag: the iconic key-lock shape, dipped several times in gold, as it is a precious jewel. A symbol of bold identity, taken from one of Florence’s historic city gates." Please stop trying to use Wikipedia for your advertising; there are plenty of legitimate ways to advertise on the Internet. --Nat Gertler (talk) 12:43, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, WP:SALT should be considered. --Nat Gertler (talk) 13:02, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The phrase has been edited. We are attempting to remove all advertising language from the article. The brand is of importance within the Florence fashion scene as well as in the luxury leather industry and deletion of the page does not help improve its quality. Thank you for your help in removing all advertising language. I will continue to do my best to improve the content of the page.Roberto GFL (talk) 13:07, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It is not just that one phrase, it's the whole article. If we were to strip it down to the material that was reliably sourced, all it would have is the mention of a new shop opening. You have a severe conflict of interest, and if a page is to exist on this subject, it is best that this page is torn down and either someone unconnected to the subject start a page or you attempt to create the page through the draft submission process. --Nat Gertler (talk) 13:12, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... I removed most egregious promo, and added some references. May or may not pass GNG, but that can be decided elsewhere. --LaMona (talk) 15:53, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Company name

[edit]

Would there be any problem in referring to the company as Gianfranco Lotti Retail S.R.L. throughout the article, to help distinguish it from where we are talking about Gianfranco Lotti the human being? Is this a name that has changed during its history? --Nat Gertler (talk) 13:13, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see any use of anything but Gianfranco Lotti in the Italian articles. I think we could use the full "Gianfranco Lotti Retail S.R.L." once, but it would be awkward throughout. Let's first see if this passes GNG before worrying about that? I should change the "Lotti" in the third para to the full name, though. will do that. LaMona (talk) 00:36, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
