What is the "Ghost-Zone"?

[edit]

From Talk:Danny Phantom...

On TV Tome's Danny Phantom Forum - the "Ghost-Zone" is described as a Limbo or Purgatory between life & death - quote: "According to parapsychology, the world of the dead is a whole different dimension then the world of the living, the portal may be the passageway between the two dimensions, the dead enter the world of the living through it and the alive enter the world of the dead through it."

If you have seen the movie Ghostbusters II; you will observe a pink "Mood Slime" or Psyco-Reactive Plasm, that bubbled & replicated when exposed to certain activity - namely positive or negative human emotional states - felt or expressed (words - insultive or of encouragement, song & music), the enpowered Mood Slime/Psyco-Reactive Plasm had useful properties, making ghosts appear, warping solid objects (Dana's bathtub), and even emotionally affecting people covered in it (Raymond "Ray" Stantz, Winston Zeddemore & Dr. Janosz Poha); and it was this Mood Slime/Psyco-Reactive Plasm that was giving the bad guy - Vigo the Carpathian, (Vigo the Unholy etc,) his power, & with all of New Yorks bad vibes negatively empowering the Mood Slime/Psyco-Reactive Plasm, Vigo had gained a lot of evil power.

I think that the "Ghost-Zone" in the Danny Phantom Universe, is a Dimension that co-exists with our own, like the Astral Plane co-exists with our own Dimension like it does in the Marvel Universe.

I think that the "Ghost-Zone" in the Danny Phantom Universe is full of Ectoplasm that behaves like the Mood-Slime/Psyco-Reactive Plasm, and with the "Ghost-Zone" co-existing with our own world, it is influenced by human emotional human states; when a person dies, they can be caught in the Ectoplasm in the Ghost-Zone - becoming a ghost of their former-selves & can even have an array of Ghost-Grade Powers, as ghosts are made of Ectoplasm.

I figure that the "Fenton Portal" works by creating a warp in time & space between Danny's dimension & the "Ghost-Zone." When Danny Fenton triggered to Fenton Portal to work, while standing inside the portal, he too was warped, and his body was fused on the molecular level with Ectoplasm/Mood Slime/Psyco-Reactive Plasm, that reacts to his teenage emotions, and turning him into a Human/Ghost molecular Hybrid, with his own array of developing Ghost-Grade Powers...

Fair use rationale for Image:DP-infimap.jpg

[edit]

Image:DP-infimap.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Use of this term in fluid simulations

[edit]

Heya. This term ("Ghost Zone") is commonly in use in fluid dynamical simulations when modelling a smooth edge to the domain of interest. (Google Scholar with '"ghost zone" fluid' yields only 140 results, but it is much more common than that). Ought there be a disambiguation page? 131.111.17.143 (talk) 11:27, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
