Nav template
[edit]Initially, I added {{Lana Del Rey}} to the footer of this article because it contains a link to this song. An editor reverted my edit here, on the grounds that nav temps for songwriters are not typically added to articles. I have decided to re-add it because Del Rey originally recorded a version of the song before Cole was given the track. So, technically, Del Rey is not simply a composer for the track but also a performer. The nav template Azealia Banks has been added to Blue Jeans (Lana Del Rey song) for similar reasons, to help illustrate the commonality of the situation. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 02:31, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- its called a demo... lots of singers who are songwriters write a song and sing the demo before putting it out to pitch to other artists. Sia does this with all her songs. A version of "Blank Page" by Sia leaked after Xtina Aguilera recorded it, but we don't add the template to that page. — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 12:26, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- Also the Azealia Banks situation is different cause she's featured on a remix of the song "Blue Jeans" but that's not standard practise either. — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 22:25, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- Is there a specific policy on this because I'm unable to find it? It seems that I will engage in an endless edit war with you unless I completely agree with your version of the article, so I'll stop. I don't really see the logic behind your proposed version of the article, but personally I don't care anymore. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 23:29, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
