ghat-ke-oopar...LOL...Hindi influence was NON-EXISTENT in Mumabi area until late 70's. Ghatkopar has been around for several decades, if not centuries before that.

Pls remove the laughable etymology attempt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.39.48.1 (talk) 03:39, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Developments in Ghatkopar

[edit]

The Wiki article appears to have been written a long time back. In last decade, both Ghatkopar east and west have developed considerably by demolition of old buildings and cinema houses. Pantnagar, which was once a labor colony is being gradually replaced with 16 storied buildings. Also there is stretch between Railway Station east and MG Road which is occupied by effluent Jain community and property prices have sky rocketed and comparable with New york suburbs. There are malls, restaurants (mainly vegetarian), swimming pool, religious places, parks, play grounds, wide concrete roads and number of schools in this area. The socio-economic changes are immense leading to major transformation of the landscape and it's demographics. Ashok Koparday 9:00, 07 October, 2016 (UTC) Dr. Ashok Koparday 03:28, 7 October 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drashok (talkcontribs)

Needs a rewrite

[edit]

This page does need lot of rewrite. Older article was nice, but did not have reference. https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Ghatkopar&direction=prev&oldid=819503730. --Chirag (talk) 03:20, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
