From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I created this article, and I wanted to make it simple short and easy understandable. I'm not a very experienced Wikipedia user, so, please if someone can help me to improve it I will appreciate.

This article is not an advertisement. We where discussing in ubuntu forums, ([1]here) about this article. We just want to create an article to explain what this Software portal is. Specially now that is used for that many Ubuntu Users.

If you have objections, please post it here in the discussion before modify the article.

Cheers.

The article looks like an advertisement and mostly describes the nature of the deb packages, their usage and benefits rather than the site itself. Much of this information should be moved to deb (file format) and this article fixed to describe better the website itself Pictureuploader (talk) 08:03, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.getdeb.net seems dead.

Discontinued

[edit]

The server is down.

Note: GetDeb is no longer discontinued and sites and repos are not up and working. Not sure who got them up yet. Linux wiki edditors must still be high on there trust fund drugs from the hollidays to not notice the return of Playdeb or to lazy masterbaiting to NPC's on twitter. Opening paragraph doubt

[edit]

Is this still correct?

> GetDeb and PlayDeb services can also be used by Ubuntu derivatives starting with 16.04 as the 14.04 packages were removed once when Ubuntu 14.04 reached EOL. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 181.12.75.30 (talk) 06:28, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
