Error

"dies natalis, or date of death." - dies natalis means "day of birth" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.113.118.82 (talk) 22:44, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An Orphan?

[edit]

I am pretty sure that St. Gertrude was not an orphan. Somebody should double check that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.42.219.38 (talk) 00:13, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Saint?

[edit]

If she was never beautified nor canonized...how can she be a saint? Is the infobox wrong? -- Matthew Cadrin (talk) 21:52, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The practice of going through beatification first is relatively newer. In fact, before Ulrich von Augsburg was canonized in 993, declarations of sainthood were done on the local level. You were a saint is a parish or parishes treated you as a saint. LTC (Ret.) David J. Cormier (talk) 14:42, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The link to The Life and Revelations of Saint Gertrude the Great does not lead to the cited text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.70.102.115 (talk) 03:24, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reconciling needed

[edit]

Under the section "Life": "...the exact date of her death is unknown...". Under the section "Veneration": "...November 16, the date of her death.". Which is it? Caeruleancentaur (talk) 13:41, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
