Notability
[edit]I'm still not seeing WP:GNG here; the only source of any length is Kent County Cricketers A to Z. Part One: 1806–1914, but it is just statistics in prose form; the only thing that it tells us beyond statistics is A brother of John Gude Wenman and cousin of Charles and Ned
, and By occupation he was a linen draper and grocer in Brookland. He died young and is buried in Benenden.
I won't nominate it now, as I see you mention you may have more coverage elsewhere, but as things stand I think I will need to bring it to AfD. BilledMammal (talk) 09:09, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
- Similar articles have been kept recently and there is a tonne of stuff written about the Wenman family in local history sources about Benenden. Much of it focuses on Ned of course, but there is coverage of the others as well - and in Carlaw some of the coverage of George is in the writing about the others. Most of that I'd need to be in Maidstone or Canterbury to get hold of though, and that's unlikely to happen anytime soon. If the sourcing were weaker I'd be wondering whether to redirect or not, but I think this survives AfD as it currently is. It's not clearcut, but that would be my general feeling. There are other possible sources - Kent Archaeology Trust for example - but I don't know when I'll get a chance to get to them. Blue Square Thing (talk) 09:22, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
