What about other Canadian universities?

[edit]

That's nice.

What about universities out in the vast Canadian hinterland?

Far away from the Quebec-Windsor urban corridor?

There are far too many endowments being given to Southern Ontario / Southern Quebec universities, and not enough to those out in the vast hinterland of Canada that makes up 98% of its land mass.

Such as the West Coast, or the Prairies, or the Canadian Shield, or the Maritimes, or Newfoundland, or the Territories.

We need to stop investing so much into Upper and Lower Canada's post-secondary education system, and, instead, invest more into that of the rest of Canada.

We need to be more like the United States of America.

Maybe it's small, but that's how this entirely uncritical article struck me too, though your concern applies anywhere outside Toronto (and does get worse with distance). Just look at "hospital row". It's not about what's needed, is it? These articles -- and our societies -- are sycophants when wealth is involved. A good compromise would be: keep your bloody philanthropy and stay out of our government. - I also agree about being like the US. This is an invitation to invade, Yanks. And why not? Canada doesn't have borders anymore anyway... alacarte (talk) 13:29, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

He couldn't be borned in Hungary and in Szepes County in 1923, as Szepes County was part of Czechoslovakia since 1920. On the sources I can only see he was born in Hungary, no mention off Szepes in the references. Infeeeeee (talk) 09:38, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
