Is this the character, the Duke of Sutherland who appears in the plot of the movie, Chariots of Fire?

Also I believe the 5th Duke of Sutherland was educated as an engineer and worked in Rhodesia. Late in life he joined a monastic order and served as a monk. This is personal communication from a friend, Lucille Kirk.
