Photo?

[edit]

I’m fairly sure the main photo is not George Roy Hill, the director. The caption says it was taken in 1970–I don’t know WHO the heck it is. Who posted it? Alanrobts (talk) 23:15, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm dead sure that's not him! I'm his nephew! Please change ASAP! - Kit Hill — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:D190:E7D0:2154:4B04:41A0:B67B (talk) 06:35, 5 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What Does This Sentence Mean?

[edit]

Can someone explain what the following sentence means referring to Hill's direction of Thoroughly Modern Millie?

Hill was fired during the editing process because he wanted to make the film shorted while Universal wanted to turn it into a roadshow production.

from the June 7, 2020 version of the article. There is a citation after the sentence to "Don't tread on George Roy Hill" by Vernon, Scott. Chicago Tribune 21 May 1972 but unfortunately the citation cannot be found online.
