Notability
[edit]This man is getting lots of mentions on blogs, but I can't find any coverage in WP:RS, so am restoring the notability tag. One blog has photos of him apparently appearing on a TV programme, but there's no assertion of notability yet per WP:BIO. Captain Conundrum (talk) 22:14, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
- He was interviewed on BBC London News last week (six o clock news on tv), and has been on tv news previously and been interviewed by Phil Schofield and Fern Britton. Whilst at the moment, the newspapers he's been interviewed for in connection with his current campaign have been local, I believe his campaign will result in further coverage that will shortly confirm notability per WP:BIO so please hold back on deletion. Thanks. NationalTreasure (talk) 09:34, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- There's a YouTube recording of Rolph appearing on BBC London News on 29 May 2013 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9-FgzFa9GI&feature=youtu.be) but I know that is not an acceptable source on wiki. Presumably this will be documented at some point further in the campaign.Mehmit (talk) 10:30, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, WP:ELPEREN#YouTube says "a segment from a well-known television news show" can be an acceptable reference, so I'll add it in now. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 11:17, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
- This article was reviewed as ok on 29 May "George Rolph (activist) was reviewed by Lgcsmasamiya Wednesday at 22:42" and many links have been added since. will add some citations. I do think some of the earlier refs could be deleted now there are more substantial ones, but shall wait for someone else to make the decisions on that!
