How this article came to be
[edit]I was reading the webcomic Casey and Andy, when I noticed that the cartoonist had put up a mini-Wikipedia of his own, for fans to contribute entries about the comic. He recently began using Grover Cleveland as a character, so I checked to see if there was an entry there; there was, and it looked to be copied verbatim from here. I checked, and it was, and there was also a sample of Cleveland's voice, recorded as he was giving a campaign speech. I downloaded it, listened to it... and then, at the end, an announcer said that the sample came from the Vincent Voice Library.
Naturally, I was curious, and looked for the Wiki entry on the VVL. There was none. Perhaps if I knew who "Vincent" was, I might be able to find more information? Google quickly revealed that the Vincent in question was George Robert Vincent, and that he had done many more things besides founding the library, and that he had no Wiki entry yet either.
So I wrote one. Took 20 minutes, including the research. And I'm pleased. DS 17:56, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
