Interesting that the reference to informing on supposed communists was simply removed. Ryz 05:09, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
The "reference" was removed? No, an assertion, without any cited source, was removed. I put a ‹The template Talkfact is being considered for merging.› [citation needed] mark on the assertion, where it remained for perhaps a week or two. Nobody stepped forward with a cite. In the process of rewriting the article, I removed the unsupported assertion--it was not related to his important contributions, and without a cite, it was simply a slander. --Anthon.Eff 14:49, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Proposed move: G. P. Murdock
[edit]He is overwhelmingly known as G. P. Murdock in the literature, and this should be the title of this article as it is what readers are most likely to search for.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 18:10, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
- I would agree with an article name change - perhaps to George P. Murdock? Leaving it as it is, I am concerned that there will be too much confusion with George Murdock (actor). What do we think about making George Murdock a disambiguation page? KConWiki (talk) 14:38, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, it should be a disambiguation page. None of the George Murdocks are the primary topic.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 16:58, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
