George J. Mead

[edit]

George Mead was a principle founder and technical leader of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, now United Technologies Corporation and is referenced in Fred Rentschler's page. I believe he is definitely worthy of note as an original founder and significant contributor to the founding and early growth of this large corporation. I agree, and I have declined the speedy delete. Please add more references if possible as biographies should always be as well-referenced as humanly possible. Good work! l'aquatique[talk] 22:01, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for declining the speedy tag. Hopefully the hasty tagging won't discourage, per WP:BITE, the newcomer who created this. I have some sources that I can use to add to the article as I have time. - BilCat (talk) 22:49, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks guys. As you noted this was my first attempt at a complete article. I have a good photo I will try to add.Jbowen52 (talk) 23:28, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it's quite good work for a first attempt! Also, It would be extremely helpful if you could add inline citations to the text to directly show where the information came from, while it's still fresh in your mind. Each paragraph needs to be cited, as does each separate claim in the paragpahs. The formatting can be quite complicated, so just add {Hoge) or (NASM) (in the brackets) to the ends of the relevant sentences, and I'll add the correct reference tags when you're finished. - BilCat (talk) 23:34, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
