Replaced external link to stadiometer with wikilink; updating article with the target photo

[edit]

The external link connects to a Google Book with Yeoman Ellis' photo shortly before his death. Replacing the external link with Wikilink to stadiometer article, and inserting the photo into the article. Adding anything else of interest from the Google Book, as adding well as an appropriate reference to the book. --AnalyticalHistoricalHobbyist (talk) 20:03, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE: have to do massive cleanup on citations. They all go to external sites. --AnalyticalHistoricalHobbyist (talk) 20:14, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ready for Class A??

[edit]

This turned out to be a lot more work than I was expecting. But I think the article is ready for Class A review. (There is not much more content I can add.) I'm putting the article on the back burner for right now; I have to get back to Yeoman (US Navy). When that article has stabilized, I'll come back here and have a final run-through before nominating Ellis for Class A. In the meantime, any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Ta-ta for now! --AnalyticalHistoricalHobbyist (talk) 19:34, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE: I have assessed this article from Stub to C-class, based upon on the substantial additions I made to this article. Requesting a B-Class review. --AnalyticalHistoricalHobbyist (talk) 07:27, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

G'day, I would suggest expanding the lead a little, and putting it through peer review or Good article review before attempting to take it to A-class. Thanks for your efforts so far. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 08:36, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciate the response! Of course, you're correct - crawl before walking. I just re-read the article; ugh - such choppy prose. I'm glad my college prof hasn't seen this! Ta-ta for now! --AnalyticalHistoricalHobbyist (talk) 18:14, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
