Aviation pioneer

[edit]

The article says nothing about his pioneering on aviation. --Mezod (talk) 18:50, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The aviation pioneer seems to have been a different man with the same name. The pioneer
was active in aviation in 1911, nearly 10 years after the physisist died.

Not the case! I have an original photograph of the same George Fitzgerald testing out a glider - perhaps more research needed? 86.144.47.234 (talk) 22:09, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

British subject

[edit]

Just one of the many blows Irish people have to suffer on Wikipedia, British imperial domination is legitimised yet again. Would we call Austrians born between 1938 and 1945 "Subjects of the Third Reich" ? This website can't even, after much controversy, bring itself to use the correct name of the country I was born in and live in, but uses the one its former British conquerors prefer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.203.52.249 (talk) 00:25, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Britain is the island to the right, Ireland is the island to the left. By definition nobody born on the island to the left is British. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.203.52.249 (talk) 00:47, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OK I get it now, look at the former birth location, some "loyalist" vandal has been at work here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.203.52.249 (talk) 00:44, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
