Hi Dr. Fischbeck,

I lived in Santa Fe in 1971-1972 and every evening the highlight of the newscast was watching you report the weather, and I have always remembered the time lapsed photography you showed of the unbelievable New Mexico sky. I learned so much from you about weather, and being a South Florida transplant, I had never experienced REAL weather before. What a beautiful memory - the clouds and sky over New Mexico1 What a bummer when you moved the bigger market of Los Angeles! My reason for this message: The husband of one of my colleagues is a young weatherman here in Tallahassee, and trying to build up a following. I want to suggest to him that he use a minute of time lapse photography for his signature. The clouds and sky here are beautiful usually, and since no weatherperson has ever done this here, I thought it a good idea, however unoriginal. Do you think this is a good idea? Perhaps you have a more original suggestion you would like to share.

Best Regards,

Appearance on fake news broadcast as part of earthquake simulator.

[edit]

I have a hazy childhood memory of an earthquake simulation exhibit at the old California Museum of Science and Industry sometime in the 80s, which consisted of a "living room" environment with a TV showing a fake news broadcast featuring Dr. George... if anyone can confirm and/or source this info, it might be a fun thing to add to his list of appearances. --jnkyrdsprkl (talk) 22:53, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

More specifically, the sources do not establish defining role in World War II. Accordingly, "Category:United States Army personnel of World War II" was removed. Semper Fi!
